In early 2016 It’s Your Choice commissioned New Forest District Council to undertake an analysis of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) being taught in secondary schools across the New Forest.
The purpose of the research was not to be critical, but rather to improve our understanding of the PSHE currently being offered to pupils in the area.
The aim was to inform how It’s Your Choice, and other partner voluntary organisations who deliver Emotional Health & Well-Being sessions in these schools, might work better together alongside the schools to enhance the quality and range of PSHE provision in a more coherent and planned way in the future.
We are holding an event to launch the report describing the findings of the research at New Forest District Council, Appletree Court, Lyndhurst, SO43 7PA on Wednesday 1stMarch, 4pm to 6pm and would like to invite anyone who works in a school setting or teaches PSHE sessions to attend.
A short presentation will be held at 5pm and refreshments will be provided.
The launch event is timely as it coincides with the start of Mental Health Awareness Week which is being organised by the New Forest Local Children’s Partnership.
If you would like to attend the event, please contact Chris Carey on 023 8086 4231 or email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
