It’ Your Choice is an Information, Counselling, Advice and Support Service for over 27,000 young people aged 12-25 living in the New Forest.  We initially formed in 1987 as a result of an identified need by youth workers in the New Forest for young people throughout the area to have access to services.  The demand for our services has been growing ever since.  During the year 2010-2011 we saw 1658 young people a 10% increase for our services on the previous year.   We saw a further 5000 young people in the work we carried out in schools and local colleges.

Almost 400 young people received one to one counselling in the last year. Our Counselling service is delivered by a team of dedicated volunteers, who are passionate about supporting young people in working through issues and managing difficult periods in their lives, and who give their time to provide a high quality support service.

Due to the increase in referrals and the demand on our service we are currently seeking to recruit qualified Counsellors who are qualified at diploma or above with at least two years experience to join our team of volunteers working across the New Forest.
You will hold an individual caseload of up to three clients and receive in-house clinical supervision in line with the BACP Ethical Framework and Guidelines.
This role is subject to Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure, and you must have the right to work in the UK.  We will also take up two references.
