Hours: 21 Hours per week

Annual Salary: £21,420 pro rata

Location:  Totton, New Forest

 

Role Summary

It’s Your Choice is a charity delivering information, advice and guidance (IAG); counselling; emotional health & well-being programmes in schools; and casework support to young people aged 11-25 who live in and around the New Forest. The charity is committed to listening to the views of young people to help plan, deliver and evaluate its services and has recently been awarded a 2 Year grant to develop this area of its activity.

We’re seeking a project worker who will play a key role in taking this exciting work forward. Much of the role will involve using social media/mobile technology to raise awareness about the project among young people and to make weekly contact with them to elicit their views about IYC and its services. The post will also involve collating young people’s feedback received via staff/volunteers and sessional group facilitators. The efficient recording of all feedback received will be a critical part of the role as will coordinating the flow of information to staff/trustees for decision making before conveying responses to young people. It will also involve promoting and coordinating the development and operation of young people groups, including a Trustee Advisory Group.

IYC is a small, friendly charity requiring a team effort across its activities. In addition to the substantive role outlined above, the postholder will be expected to use their social media/communication skills to assist colleagues with general PR as required.
