It is with regret that we have made the decision to suspend new counselling referrals from Friday 14th May for 3 months, and new Focused Intervention referrals until further notice. We will review this on a regular basis.
The events of this last year have had a real impact on us being able to provide a continuous service and we have reached our capacity and resources to carry out appointments face to face. We do not have the infrastructure to support long term remote working.
We fully appreciate this may cause concern, however with the level of support required which is incredibly high right now, we feel this is the appropriate action to take so we can continue providing a professional service and reduce waiting times.
If you need require emergency help, here are some numbers that can provide support:
Samaritans: 116 123
Childline 0800 1111
Frank: 0330 12365 600
Shelter 0808 800 4444
SHOUT Textline 85258
