Focused Intervention

View our video with Youth Advisor, Kathryn, to know more about our Focused Intervention service.

The aim of our Focused Intervention Service is to help young people aged 11-25 years in the New identify the cause of issues or problems effecting their emotional health and wellbeing. Our Youth Advisors will provide a short-term issue and solution focused intervention devised with a holistic approach.

Offering up to a maximum of 10 sessions, it is a voluntary service where the young person’s willingness to actively engage and take part in the support is vital.

By working together, the aim of the work is to identify the causes(s) of the issue(s) they are facing; the triggers for certain behaviours; the barriers to progression, then explore strategies together to develop a plan to overcome them.
