It’s Your Choice held a successful event to launch its report analysing the level and range of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) being taught in New Forest secondary schools. The launch event took place at the New Forest District Council (NFDC) headquarters on 1st March.
NFDC Chair, Councillor Goff Beck, welcomed attendees by highlighting the importance of the work of IYC and all those agencies present working to support vulnerable children and young people across the Forest.
Alison Talbot, the author of the report, did a short presentation detailing the key findings of the research.
Chris Carey, chief executive of IYC, stressed the importance of professionals and agencies working together alongside schools to enhance and enrich the PSHE currently on offer. He said he hoped the report would act as a catalyst for agencies to work in partnership more effectively in this area in the future.
