A key part of our work is using our Food Bank to be able to offer young people who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, basic food items and toiletries. We also use our Food Bank to provide a hot meal to young people who we work with long term, who are often unable to provide regular, warm meals for themselves. When our young people come to us they are given a hot meal and the opportunity to wash and dry clothing.
Unfortunately, this service is under extreme demand, and we urgently need items to restock.
Our shopping list includes:
- UHT (longlife) Milk
- Tinned Meat/Fish
- Cereals/Cereal bars
- Biscuits
- Crisps
- Fruit Juice/Fruit Squash
- Tinned Fruit
- Tea/Coffee
- Washing power/tablets
- Toiletries (E.g. toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shower gel etc.)
Please note – we are currently unable to accept donations of clothes due to lack of storage space.
Every donation you make, whether it be one item or 100, makes a real difference to the young people we help and could be the difference between them getting a health meal and them going hungry.
If you would like to make a donation to our Food Bank please email [email protected] and we may even be able to arrange a collection for your donation.
